The Jon Faddis Quartet is Jon Faddis (leader & trumpet), David
Hazeltine (piano), Kiyoshi Kitagawa (bass), and Dion Parson (drums).
In 2005, the Jon Faddis Quartet headlined at
the Heineken San Juan Jazz Festival, the Newport Jazz Festival, the Kingston Jazz Festival, the Performing Arts Center at
Purchase College-SUNY, St. Louis' Jazz at the Bistro, and other great venues. The Jon Faddis Quartet is also regularly featured
at special events, such as the Friends of Education benefit at the Museum of Modern Art (2004) and at the Neuberger Museum
of Art at Purchase College-SUNY, where Faddis premiered his own compositions based on artwork by Romare Bearden on display
there (2002).
Faddis has maintained his quartet, with various personnel, for over twenty-five years; in its early years,
the Jon Faddis Quartet toured for the U.S. State Department, and the Jon Faddis Quartet continues to tour worldwide today.
